Penny and Leonard's relationship is relaunched in full 'beta test' mode, while Sheldon, Howard, and Raj discover the feminine mystique is something that cannot be easily graphed or calculated. As Sheldon makes begrudging amendments to his 'Relationship Agreement' with his 'friend-who-happens-to-be-a-girl,' Amy Farrah Fowler, Raj contemplates an arranged marriage, and Howard is all-systems-go for both his NASA launch and wedding to the spirited Bernadette.

When hopelessly nebbish Alan Harper and his fast-maturing son Jake suddenly find themselves without a place to call home, their solution walks in off the beach in the form of Internet gazillionaire Walden Schmidt, who buys the Malibu beach pad and offers to let Alan and Jake stay. Soon, the three guys bond, forming a substitute family, and finding themselves involved in all sorts of comedic exploits.

Mike & Molly is a love story about two ordinary yet extraordinary people, Mike (Billy Gardelll), an affable police officer, and Molly (Melissa McCarthy), a smart and cheerful teacher, who have always protected themselves and relied on their ability to laugh through life. With each other's support and the help of the Overeaters Anonymous meeting where they met, Mike and Molly learn to open up and trust one another. But falling in love is no easy task, especially when surrounded by friends and family who are just a little too close – and a little too opinionated.

When socially awkward scientists experiment with love, usually only hilarity ends up as a result. In this season, the gang's romantic universe expands as Leonard, Howard, Raj and even Sheldon test their skills outside of the lab. On the rebound from Penny, Leonard falls into the arms of Raj's sister, Priya. Sheldon finally gets a girlfriend – or rather a friend who is a girl – Amy, a dour neurobiologist who adopts Penny as her new best friend. Howard and Bernadette's chemistry heats up – and so do Raj and Bernadette (at least in Raj's Bollywood daydream!) The romantic twists and turns, both real or imagined, continue to bring on the laughs in this award-winning series.
