Kattapacalypse is pretty funny, but ultimately unsatisfying and not worthy of multiple viewings. Katt Williams is a funny dude but his material here is choppy and disjointed. He comes onto the stage like a lion abut by the end is laying down with the lambs.

DVD Review TWINS OF EVIL (BLU-RAY/DVD COMBO)

Any horror fan worth their salt should go a little nutty for a Hammer film with Peter Cushing and twin Playboy centerfolds in the lead roles. This may not be the celebrated Hammer's finest work, but Cushing chews it up beautifully, the Collinson girls are eye-pealing and the new Synapse 1080p transfer is quite nice.

DVD Review 42ND STREET FOREVER

If the thought of nearly four hours of B-movie trailers from the late 1960s/early 1970s - blaxploitation, sexploitation, martial arts, horror, sci-fi, vengeance, etc - gets you as giddy as it does me then the 42nd Street Forever: The Blu-Ray Edition from Synapse is necessary viewing.

Recommended, but for a very select audience.

DVD Review THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE)

This isn't quite the absolute genius bit of horror that the film's trailer seemed to promise, but genre fans should come for the disturbing premise and stay for the wonderfully campy/creepy performance of Dieter Laser.

The image/audio transfers are pretty plain jane, but Laser makes it all worthwhile.
