Two special features clips for Flight, which will be released today on Blu-ray and DVD. The first clip, from the 'Origins of FLIGHT' featurette, features Academy Award-nominees Denzel Washington and screenwriter John Gatins discussing the script. The second clip, also from the 'Origins of FLIGHT' featurette, features Denzel Washington and Bruce Greenwood and has a special introduction recorded by Bruce Greenwood.

Written by John Gatins, the film tells the story of Whip Whitaker, a commercial airline pilot who miraculously lands a plummeting airplane during a breathtaking sequence described as "the hairiest, scariest, most realistic, and thrilling plane crash in movie history" (Richard Corliss, Time). But despite his heroics, Whip comes under investigation and begins what may be an even more harrowing personal descent.

When two friends take a road trip to the desert in search of meteorites they end up with more than they bargained for and something far more valuable. Consequently, they soon learn that what you find in the desert may not be yours. Written, directed and produced by Jeremiah Gurzi and shot on 16mm Eastman Kodak motion picture film stock with anamorphic prime lenses.

This BD release of the Jim Carroll/heroin addiction story is a huge improvement in image/audio over the sloppy 2004 SD version, and that's a good thing.
