Fun-loving friends suddenly must deal with a tragedy and confront the hard truths of their carefree lives in Little White Lies, the hit French import starring Oscar winners Jean Dujardin and Marion Cotillard. Writer-director Guillaume Canet's acclaimed comedy-drama, set on the gorgeous French Riviera, arrives on Blu-ray and DVD from MPI on February 5, 2013, with SRPs, respectively, of $29.98 and $24.98.

Following a motorcycle accident that leaves a charismatic member (Jean Dujardin, Best Actor Oscar winner for The Artist) of their group in an intensive care unit, a close-knit circle of thirty- and fortysomething friends embark on their annual summer getaway to Cap Ferrat in southeastern France. Staying at the spacious vacation home of wealthy family man Max (Francois Cluzet, Tell No One, The Intouchables), the friends' sunny beachside idyll quickly becomes the backdrop of heated tensions and outbursts among the old acquaintances as the little white lies just beneath the surface of their relationships reach a boiling point.

While enjoying Mediterranean boating excursions and wine-filled feasts, the friends' true feelings and quirks start to surface. Among them: Marie (Cotillard, The Dark Knight Rises, La Vie en Rose, Rust and Bone), a bi-curious music scholar; the wealthy Max (Cluzet), who tries to buy the others' affection; and Eric (Gilles Lellouche, Point Blank, Mesrine: Killer Instinct), an actor whose pompousness hides boyish insecurities.

Featuring some of the leading stars of French cinema and enhanced by a soundtrack of classic hit songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin and more, director Guillaume Canet's followup to his smash hit Tell No One is a touching, poignant and inspiring dramatic comedy about owning up to the truths that define a life.

Little White Lies was a big per-screen hit in top U.S. markets for distributor MPI and made a whopping $45 million in its native France. Director Guillaume Canet's Blood Ties, his upcoming English-language debut, starring Marion Cotillard, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana and Clive Owen, promises to be a huge success.

New York magazine's Bilge Ebiri called Little White Lies "absorbing and touching ... sharply observed and very well acted." Entertainment Weekly's Owen Gleiberman described it as a "French gloss on The Big Chill." Joe Neumaier of the New York Daily News said the film "can tout a gorgeous setting, a group of appealing actors and a mastery of the art of wine-fueled conversation."
