Uncle Jed, Jethro and Elly May Clampett are back to solve the energy crisis! During its decade on network television, THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES (1962-1971) was among the most popular of all comedy series. In 1981, original cast members Buddy Ebsen (who played Jed Clampett), Donna Douglas (Elly Mae) and Nancy Kulp (Jane Hathaway) reunited for Return of the Beverly Hillbillies. Following the death of Granny, Jed has returned home to live in his old country cabin while nephew Jethro Bodine has stayed on in California as a Hollywood movie producer and blonde bombshell daughter Elly May manages a zoo full of the critters she loves. Former bank assistant Jane Hathaway now works for the U.S. government and, along with her new boss "Chief" (played by Werner Klemperer - Col. Klink in Hogan's Heroes), attempts to solve the nation's energy crisis with some unexpected help from the oil-rich Clampetts. From the Academy Award and Emmy Award nominated writer Paul Henning (Lover Come Back, The Bob Cummings Show) and also starring TV comedy legend Imogene Coca (Your Show of Shows), Return of the Beverly Hillbillies is a must-have for fans of the original series.
