Blue Underground has lovingly doled out the uncensored English version of what is likely Dario Argento's best film (right up there with Suspiria), and the result is a gorgeous image transfer that make this one seem almost brand new.

If you've ever wondered why Argento is so revered by so many, this would be the disc to use as your primer.

Highly recommended.

Italian exploitation master took a step away from the supernatural for this rather standard (relatively speaking) serial killer flick. He didn't, however, tone down on the sex, violence, and, most importantly, gore.

Here's a forgotten horror film from the early 1980s that could have stayed forgotten and I don't think the public would have revolted. This tired alt-The Shining/haunted house/tormented writer variant does, however, come adorned from Blue Underground with a trio of quality audio mixes and a nice image transfer that do wonders to make this slow-moving film tolerable.

I've never been as enamored of the entire Dario Argento oeuvre as many genre fans seem to be, though for obvious reasons I do still hold Suspiria in high regard.

As a quasi-sequel to Suspiria - part of Argento's interwoven Three Mothers trilogy - this Special Edition release of 1980's Inferno has an impressively remastered transfer that really shows off the primary colored bad dream weirdness perfectly.
