Elvira's Movie Macabre: The Terror / Eegah!

Roger Corman's cult classic starring Oscar®-winner Jack Nicholson and Boris Karloff meets notorious Bond villain Richard Kiel's Neanderthal maniac in this demonic double feature! In The Terror (1963), Lt. Andre Duvalier (played by a young Nicholson) is an officer in Napoleon's army. When he pursues a mysterious woman into the castle of an elderly baron (Karloff), he uncovers a bizarre plot: a witch (Dorothy Neumann) is planning to drive the baron to suicide. Duvalier soon finds himself in a world of supernatural treachery where nothing is what it seems in this thriller shot in just three days by B movie king Corman. The notorious cult classic Eegah! (1962) -- one of the films listed in Michael Medved book The Fifty Worst Films of All Time -- stars Richard Kiel (The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker) as the last of the race of prehistoric giants, who is discovered and goes on to kidnap and terrorize Marilyn Manning (The Sadist), her father (Arch Hall, Jr., The Choppers) and the city of Palm Springs, California.

Elvira's Movie Macabre: The Brain That Wouldn't Die / The Manster

Frankenstein-styled mad scientist mayhem meets a terrifying two-headed monster in two unforgettable creature features from Elvira! Called very entertaining[1] and impossible to forget[2] The Brain That Wouldn't Die (1962) stars Jason Evers (Escape from the Planet of the Apes, The Illustrated Man) as Dr. Bill Cortner, a doctor who has been performing experimental surgery on human guinea pigs. When his fiancée is decapitated in an automobile accident, he manages to keep her brain alive. And while searching for a suitable body replacement for his bride-to-be, she gets impatient and calls upon a creature -- one of the mad doctor's less successful experiments -- to wreak havoc. In The Manster (1959), an American foreign news correspondent Larry Stanford (Peter Dyneley, Thunderbirds) based in Japan is sent to interview Dr. Robert Suzuki (Tetsu Makamura), an eccentric scientist working on bizarre experiments in his volcanic mountain laboratory. When the doctor realizes that the hapless Stanford is the perfect subject for his next experiment, he drugs the unfortunate man and injects him with a serum that gradually transforms him into a hideous, two-headed monster.
