David Carradine (Kill Bill 1 & 2, Bound for Glory), Michael Maloney (Truly, Madly, Deeply, Henry V) and Mariel Hemingway (Manhattan, Deconstructing Harry) come together in this satirical buddy drama set in the dizzying whirl of fame at the heights of the music business.

American Reel was written by Scott Fivelson and Junior Burke, produced by Fivelson, Jordan Rush and Darrell Griffin, and directed by Mark Archer (producer of the award-winning In the Company of Men). The film debuted theatrically on a double bill with Kill Bill: Volume 2 on December 8, 2011 at Quentin Tarantino's New Beverly Cinema.



ABOUT THE PRODUCER:

Scott Fivelson is a screenwriter, playwright, and author whose short stories and satirical pieces have appeared in Chicago Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Playboy, Los Angeles Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the L.A. Weekly, Tales from the Heart of Hollywood, and other publications.

Three Holes, Two Brads, and a Smoking Gun -- a dramatic thriller with dark comedy -- is his latest film as a screenwriter. The movie stars James Wilder, Joaquim de Almeida, Rudolf Martin, and Richard Edson.

Fivelson's satirical novel, Tuxes, a comedic take on the multi-generational rich-family saga, was published in trade paperback by BeachSide Press, and is also available in a French translation from Polymancer Studios Inc. in Montreal.

Mr. Fivelson's one-act play, Dial L for Latch-Key, has been performed onstage in London, England, and is published in both paperback and eBook formats by Hen House Press in New York.

His Dial L for Latch-Key and Leading the Witness will be presented in a U.S. premiere of two Staged Readings at Off Broadway West in San Francisco in August 2012.
