"A pleasantly quirky, family-friendly fable with lots of meowing." --Neil Genzlinger, THE NEW YORK TIMES "Vincent Bal's film should appeal to kids, cat lovers and felines...my cat, Audrey, gives it three meows." --V.A. Musetto, NEW YORK POST

Chicago, IL (April 27,2012) - Meet Miss Minoes, a charming young woman in the Dutch town of Killendoorn who until recently was...a cat! Based on the classic 1970 book by Dutch children's author Annie M.G. Schmidt and directed by veteran Dutch filmmaker Vincent Bal, Miss Minoes

Winner of the Golden Calf Award for Best Actress (van Houten) and Best Film at the Holland Film Festival and was the recipient of the Children's Jury Prize for Best International Live Action Feature Film at the Children's International Children's Film Festival, the New York Times Critics' Pick, Miss Minoes
is coming to DVD this June!

Cat gossip has never been this juicy...and whistle-blowing has never been this catty! Just because she's magically changed into a lady doesn't mean all her feline tendencies have fallen to the wayside: Miss Minoes still enjoys purring, rubbing her face against other people's faces, sleeping in a box, and, of course, communicating with her fellow cats--all of whom still recognize her from her days as a local feline.

Miss Minoes' whiskers-to-woman transformation proves to be the best thing to ever happen to Killendoorn in the charming family film Miss Minoes, which makes its DVD and VOD debut by Music Box Films Home Entertainment on June 12, 2012 (prebook May 8, 2012) following its well-received Stateside theatrical release in the nation's top markets in December, 2011.

Alongside Van Houten stars Theo Maasen as Tibbe, the shy but talented journalist who receives life-changing assistance from Miss Minoes in the form of her team of news-gathering kitties, who pass on local gossip to Tibbe and turn him into a star reporter before they uncover the nefarious plans of a scheming nearby factory owner.

Featuring a fantastic array of fun-loving felines and a positive message about the importance of respecting all creatures great and small, no matter what their differences may be, Miss Minoes is the cat's meow for families, children and any-and-all lovers of our furry, four-legged friends.

Miss Minoes
- Synopsis:
On the verge of being fired from his local newspaper in the Dutch town of Killendoorn, talented-but-shy journalist Tibbe's (Theo Maasen) fortunes begin to look up after he meets Miss Minoes (Carice Van Houten), an extraordinary woman who claims she used to be a cat! Tibbe doesn't know what to make of Miss Minoes (who certainly embodies a lot of cat-like qualities), but after she supplies him with exclusive news stories that she's picked up from her feline friends, he decides to make her his assistant in return for bed and board. As the numerous cats in Killendoorn supply Miss Minoes with updates, Tibbe rises to prominence as a successful journalist. But while Tibbe is eager to takes advantage of Miss Minoes' "Cat News Service," he does not want her to behave like a cat, much to the frustration of Tibbe's neighbor, 8-year-old Bibi (Sarah Bannier), who enjoys a delightful nighttime adventure with Miss Minoes. Things begin to get tricky when Miss Minoes' cats prompt Tibbe to publish an article on how a highly regarded local businessman is in fact an underhanded scoundrel. Miss Minoes, Bibi and Killendoorn's cats kick into action and they quickly restore Tibbe's professional and personal reputation. But everyone's moment of triumph is overshadowed by rumors that Miss Minoes has decided to become a cat again. It's only when she disappears that Tibbe realizes how much she truly means to him...
